The BB-232OPDRI-PH is our premium Heavy Industrial RS-232 Isolated Repeater. Designed for rugged industrial environments, it has been put through some of the most exacting compliance tests in the industry. Meeting the requirements of IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613, it is suitable for installation in electrical substations. These specifications are more stringent than the NEMA TS1/TS2 requirements for transportation applications. Powerful isolation on both data ports protects your equipment and data from damaging ground loops and surges. Additional isolation on the power supply circuits adds a third degree of protection.
Packaged in a rugged IP30 metal case, this repeater operates in wide temperature extremes. The panel mount form factor with DIN Rail mount option makes it easy to integrate into your control panel or other industrial equipment.
Installation and configuration is easy. Data is connected with a DB9 female connector (DCE) and a DB9 male connector (DTE). Power is connected through terminal block that accepts 10 to 48 VDC from any external source.
Once you accept your quote and confirm your order, we prepare by retrieving related parts and components from our inventory. Anything we do not currently have in stock is sourced.
Upon receipt, all parts are visually inspected for damage and then photographed to document their condition. Parts acquired from vendors must meet our quality standards.
Industrial computer boards and other parts we are equipped to evaluate are tested to verify functionality and discover possible damage.
Industrial computer boards have all components with low MTBF numbers (such as capacitors and connectors) replaced and are washed in our PCB cleaner to remove dust and grime.

Industrial computer boards have all I/O connections rigorously tested to ensure that everything is working properly before the board is certified as ready to ship.
After photos are taken to document the exterior condition of the part, it is packaged and sent to the customer. ESD-safe materials are used to protect sensitive equipment on its journey.
