The THS2085 HDEC Series 2U rackmount computer is a high density embedded computing system that can support as many as four standard, off-the-shelf, x16 PCI Express plug-in cards in a rugged, compact 2U rackmount computer enclosure. The compact design of THS2085 is ideal for data gathering and video command and control in government and defense, and industrial automation applications. The THS2085's processing capabilities and rugged computer design enables deployment across a wide spectrum of industries that demand longevity and robust computing performance. The THS2085 HDEC Series 2U rackmount computer is available in a THS2085-001 system configuration that is a CE and FCC Part 15, Subpart B compliant platform consisting of the HDB8827 HDEC Series 2U butterfly format backplane, a 650W, single-fixed mount power supply, and the innovative HDEC Series system host board: Trenton's HEP8225 featuring two, long life, Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 processors, The most compelling part of the system architecture is the built-in capability to support as many as four, x16 PCI Express plug-in cards without the need of a PCIe switch. This system design feature reduces system cost while increasing available bandwidth in order to produce the most efficient high density embedded computing systems possible.
