The FW-8771 is a 1U rackmountable network security platform incorporating Intel's latest Xeon® "Haswell"CPU. The FW-8771 is a 1U rackmountable network security platform incorporating Intel's latest Xeon® "Haswell"CPU. Based on the new Intel® 22nm process architecture, the proccessor improves CPU performance and efficiency in power consumption. The Intel® AES New Instruction (AES-NI) enhancements use hardware-based acceleration to encrypt/decrypt the data. The improvements in processing performance is over 10% compared with the previous generation Ivy Bridge. This allows network appliances to operate at ultra-high speed.
