The Kontron ACE Flight 4600 is a complete, highly integrated application-ready platform that is specifically designed to meet advanced communication application requirements for Ethernetbased network installations on both linefi t and retrofi t aircraft. Qualifi ed to D0-160F and optimized for a full range of fl ight information systems, the enhanced Kontron ACE Flight 4600 line isan ideal platform to build applications that include: crew and passenger web servers, flight maintenance or manifest servers, connectivity server, wireless content server and In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) servers.
The Kontron ACE Flight 4600 integrates the latest dual core 1.5 GHz Intel® Core™ i7 processor, 16GB of DDR3 memory and up to 1.8 terabytes (TB) of combined SATA SSD storage to address increased demands in performance, software and data access. It supports extensive connectivity and bandwidth with features including an L2/L3 managed Gigabit Ethernet Switch with 11 externally available 10/100/1000BT ports. Designed for aircraft environments, this ARINC 600 4MCU form factor system also features 6 Rx/ 3 Tx ARINC 429 channels, six inputs and four outputs of discrete I/O all in a low power, light weight and natural convection cooled and sealed unit. For easy access and installation, the front panel of the Kontron ACE Flight 4600 features GSM USIM access, 2x removable SSDs, VGA, 2x RS-232, USB and 10/100/1000Base T ports. In addition, Linux and Windows operating systems are supported.
