The MB980 in ATX form factor supports the 4th Generation Intel® Core™ i7/i5/i3 processors that are manufactured on industry-leading 22nm process technology with 3D Tri-Gate transistors.
Based on the Intel® Q87 chipset and the 4th Generation Intel® Core™ processors, MB980 provides improved CPU, media and graphics performance as well as energy efficiency making it suitable in intelligent platforms for gaming, infotainment, security, automation and digital signage applications. Moreover, it is embedded with Intel vPro Technology, an added security needed by intelligent systems, to provide a comprehensive set of security and manageability.
The MB980 comes with four standard voltage or low-voltage DDR3 sockets supporting up to 32GB of system memory. Graphics interface includes DVI-I, DVI-D and DisplayPort. High interconnectivity is available through two Gigabit Ethernets, 14 USB ports, 6 serial ports (jumperless selection on COM1 for RS232/422/485) and 6 SATA ports. Expansion cards can be used with the onboard four PCI, PCI-E(x16), PCI-E(x4) and PCI-E(x1) slots.
